Dr. Chloe Weir traces her interest in education and teaching to her third-grade teacher, who had a profound influence on her life. She began her teaching career in Jamaica and spent several years teaching in Nassau, Bahamas. After completing her PhD at Western University in Ontario in 2017, she joined the faculty at Burman University's School of Education in the fall of the same year. In 2020, she began serving as Chair of the School of Education and in 2025 as Dean. In 2024, She was awarded the Excellence in Service award at Burman University. She currently serves as the Interim Vice President for Academic Administration. Dr. Weir is committed to student success and supporting an environment of academic excellence. She maintains that effective leadership is grounded in teamwork and collaboration.
