Herr Lecture Series - Dr. Jared Wesley

In Alberta and elsewhere, there’s a growing sense that our communities are becoming increasingly divided between progressives and conservatives, newcomers and longtime residents, people in cities versus those in rural areas, older folks and newer generation. Jared Wesley's research challenges these notions, pointing out that far more unites most of us than divides us. There is hope for the future! On the eve the American election, Wesley's presentation will provide us with a healthy dose of optimism!

Jared Wesley is Associate Dean (Graduate Studies) of the Faculty of Arts and a professor of political science at the University of Alberta.  He studies the links between public opinion, public policy, and political culture. His career path has included several senior management positions with the Government of Alberta. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, he is a lucky husband and proud father of two daughters.

Tickets to all Herr Lecture gatherings are free of charge. We believe that cost should never be a barrier to informed social engagement.
