Circulation - Policies

Loan periods:

• Burman and NEOS items = 2 weeks
• Reserve materials = 2 hours

Renew Limits:

• Burman items = 4 times
• NEOS items = 2 times

Recall:

• Recalled items must be returned in 7 days (regardless of due date). Late fines for each day after 7 days is $5 per day for NEOS books.

Fines:

• Burman = $.50/day/item
• NEOS = $1.00/day/item up to $31.00/item

Assumed Lost:

• Burman Items: Cost of item plus $20. This is reduced to $31 when item is returned.
• NEOS Items: $150 lost charge. This is reduced to $31 fine when item is returned.

Damaged Books:

• Books damaged beyond reasonable repair as subject to the same fine as lost items.

Notices:

• Campus e-mail notifies when overdue, assumed lost, recalled, ready for pickup.
