Burman University has been approved to apply for funding with the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC). This is an exciting step to continue the momentum towards research on the Burman campus. NSERC provides over $1 billion in funding for researchers across Canada and now Burman faculty, and research-minded students, have the opportunity to apply for grants and awards through this council.

In February of this year, Burman submitted its application to the Tri-Council which consists of Canada’s three major research grant agencies: Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), and Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC).
