Capital Campaign Final Phase
Our capital campaign for the new library is moving into its final phase to try and close the gap between what has been currently raised and the $6 million goal. There is only about $200,000 left to raise or just over 3% of the total fundraising goal. Special thanks to all our donors and to Eric Rajah and Victor Fitch for their significant time and effort in making this dream become a reality. As you may remember, the new library campaign is one of three facets of the larger Shaping the World fundraising efforts. The other two include student success initiatives such as endowed scholarships and accessibility projects as well as Program Development/Faculty Research. You will be hearing more about these other two pieces in the months to come. Just a note, that if you have not given to the library project yet, it is not too late, and to those who have already given, you may consider adding to your original donation to help us be successful in reaching the full goal.
US Foundation
You may not be aware of the fact that Burman University has established a foundation in the United States. This foundation will facilitate the efficient receipt of donations from our American alumni and friends which allows us to acknowledge their donations and provide US tax-deductible receipts in a timely manner. If you know of any friends or family who live in the US and who may want to take advantage of this new service, please contact Diane Southcott in the Advancement office and she can provide the details for you to share with them.
